Foxtons selects Nokia Lumia 820 as business smartphone

Foxtons is a major real estate agency in the UK with 35 offices in London and with a turnover of 1400 real estate managed monthly. Foxtons chose to assign 900 employees to a Nokia Lumia 820, considering it suitable for the business. Another important achievement for Nokia, on several occasions in recent months has aimed to reach not only the consumer audience, but also corporate users. 

Verizon getting High-End Nokia Lumia Smartphone Codenamed "Laser"

It seems Verizon will be stocking this year high-end Nokia Lumia smartphone codenamed "Laser" according to the TheVerge Verizon's sources. The Nokia smartphone will be a variant of the Lumia 920 that's set to debut alongside to another Nokia devices named "Catwalk".

Nokia to produce 4.7" inch smartphones, but no 5" smartphone in 2013

The race to achieve the smartphone with the larger display has long history in the Android World. And currently is holding  market leadership from this point of view with devices that are starting to use more and more 5" + displays. Nokia, according to recent rumors, could market it's first smartphone with 4.7 " display in 2013.

Nokia - More PureView Innovation Still To Come

For Nokia 2012 was a year marked by closed two very important goals in the field  camera technology implemented in today's smartphones. The Nokia 808 and Nokia Lumia 920 PureView scored significantly smartphone sector with strong aptitude for capturing photos and video redefining, each in its own way, standards in the segment. 

Nokia to block unauthorised access to NaviFirm at the end of January

Not so good news for Nokia users who are used to tap into the vast database of NaviFirm to download the firmware dedicated to the Nokia. Nokia seems to have chosen to block unauthorized access to NaviFirm by the end of January. 

Firmware update PR 1.1 now live in the U.S. and Canada, the rest will have to wait till February 2013!

Nokia has officially announced the start of the deployment of PR 1.1 for the Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820. This is an update that was already spotted at NaviFirm and that has begun to roll out the update for the Nokia Windows Phone 8 smartphones.

Rumor - Nokia has received over 2.5 million pre-orders of the Lumia 920 in 20 days

According to the Yahoo China sources it seems that Nokia Lumia 920 is doing extremely good, since  in the last 20 days the number of pre-orders of the WP8 smartphone would amount to more than 2.5 million. A figure which, if true, would confirm the actual success of the device which still continues to record the sold-out many markets worldwide.

Nokia Lumia 920 & Nokia Lumia 820 now shipping

Nokia has just announced that it has begun the first deliveries to telephone operators who will market the Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 in France, the UK, Russia and Germany. The sales of these highly anticipated smartphone will start already during this first week of November and will therefore be the first Windows Phone 8 on the market!

Viber is now available for Symbian smartphones

A few hours after the official announcement , the popular instant messaging client lands in Nokia Store. The application is currently available for Symbian S60 5th edition and Symbian ^3 devices and can be downloaded and installed via Nokia Suite (not yet directly from your smartphone). Viber requires a few simple steps to be configured after installation and integrates with your address book contacts identifying customers who already use the application.

Nokia Belle Refresh rolling out for Nokia E6

Nokia Belle Refresh released for Nokia 500

Nokia has officially announced the start of deployment to Nokia Belle Refresh a few days ago.The update was initially released for Symbian ^ 3 is not branded. The first handsets to receive the update candidates were the Nokia N8, E7, C7, C6-01, X7 and Gold.Nokia has already announced that the distribution will also been extended to the Nokia E6 and the Nokia 500 in the next few days. In the last few hours there have been early reports about the Nokia 500 already updated to Nokia Belle Refresh.

Fring is updated with support for Nokia Belle

Fring team, with an eloquent message via Twitter confirmed the possibility of using the popular VoIP and instant messaging client with the Nokia Belle. The new software release 4.5.18, now available for download seems to have definitively resolved the technical difficulties that prevented the use of the client operating system with Nokia Photos with the previous version. The application, as is known  supports the major IM services and allows both video and VoIP calls. 

WhatsApp for Symbian updated to version 2.8.7

The developers of the popular application WhatsApp , dedicated to instant messaging does not seem to slacken the pace of release of updates for its Symbian client.

Usually the new software releases reaches the Symbian users often unfortunately without being accompanied by the official changelog, as its is the case of the recent version 2.8.7,which was released today by the WhatsApp development team without a changelog too.

Nokia Belle FP 2 Demo – Keyboard, Music Player & Lock Screen (Video)

The long-awaited update of the Nokia Belle is still on the road-map of the Nokia smartphone sof recent production, starting with the Nokia 808 PureView. Now we have Nokia Belle feature pack 2 featured in video and  this time installed on Nokia 701. The video will show you some of the new Feature Pack 2 Belle including the keyboard, the new music player, the renewed lockscreen and the web browser.

Rumor - Nokia will introduce two new WP 8 smartphones on September 5th

The rumors on the official presentation of next Lumia smartphone based on Windows Phone 8 are becoming more intense. The last rumor is that Nokia will show two new WP smartphones on September 5th.

While the reference to there latest release of Microsoft's operating system as standard is not at issue, the same can not be said for the integration of PureView technology that could be integrated within the Lumia devices probably later this this year with a reminder that the information should be considered mere rumor until is confirmed by Nokia.

Nokia completes acquisition of developers, technologies and intellectual property from Scalado

Nokia announced this morning that you have completed the acquisition of Scalado announced in June. The technology, intellectual property of major innovations in the imaging software and about fifty specialists who worked in this area will be transferred to Nokia Scalado. The Finnish manufacturer, then, having set new standards in the camera phone with the Nokia 808 PureView, may have significant resources to invest in the further improvement of the cameras of its smartphones.
