Huawei Ascend D1 visits FCC with some mighty fine specs

We return after a few months to talk about Huawei Ascend D1 , a smartphone that will cover the mid-range segment when it goes on sale which is currently pending approval by the controlling body independent of the FCC.

The sale will take place initially in the U.S. but there are no official information about the carriers. Talk about a quadband GSM and pentaband * HSPA / WCDMA is able to work on AT & T and T-Mobile.
What stands out most is the 4.5-inch  Super IPS display that promises a 720p resolution with a pixel density of 326ppi entering into direct competition with Retina Display on Iphone 4S.
The rest of hardware features are equally attractive, since on paper this device promises good performance
  • TI OMAP 4460 Dual core 1.5GHz
  • 1 gigabyte ram
  • 8 gigabytes of internal storage + support 32 gigabytes sd card
  • 8Mpx camera + dual-LED flash + 1.3 mpx front camera
  • ICS Android 4.0

The transition of the FCC approval to the start of should be done in a short time within the quarter. No info on prices yet, but might be interesting if we consider that Huawei offers top quality devices with reasonable price
