Instagram for Android - 1 million downloads in 24 hours

Instagram broke the record of one million downloads made in less than 24 hours, smashing the record of Temple Run, which had scored the same number of downloads a little less than three days.

Kevin Systrom , Instagram CEO, told The New York Times that in some circumstances has exceeded the threshold of 2 000 records per minute .

The version of the application for Android devices is almost the same as the version for devices developed by Apple, but with minor differences mainly due to the graphical interface. It is therefore expected that the two versions of  Instagram  go hand in hand with the same news for both operating systems.

Please note also that in the late morning the Android version of  Instagram  has received its first update going to eliminate some small bugs and reaching version 1.0.1

There remains, therefore, have to wait a few more days to find out where will the success of Instagram, which IOS has already reached the download quota of 30 million, a number of really shocking that with the arrival of this new Android version will only increase dramatically.
