Google Play app revenue up 311%, but but the Apple store still dominates


During this 2012, the Google Play store has seen record numbers, thanks to the many new applications that provide media content better quality.After that Amazon has seen the Kindle Fire last year, a large increase of their revenues by selling content via Tablet, Google seems to have found the right formula. Nexus 7 is definitely the protagonist since the new Nexus 4 smartphone and Nexus 10 tablet came on the market long enough to be able to make significant numbers.

Skype will soon activate video messages on all platforms


Update in sight for Skype on all platforms, with the expected version for Windows Phone that should finally make available the best of all services related to the application. According to rumors, the update should arrive, as expected, next month bringing a new feature that could really give an extra edge to Skype: we are talking about the ability to record video messages !

VLC Beta (neon version) available in the Play Store!


Finally after a long wait is available in Store Play the first official version of VLC for Android .VLC is an open source multi-platform multimedia player that plays media files of many formats with various codec support really endless. That at the time available is a BETA and is not completely stable.

Winzip comes for free on Android



Winzip is a historical name in the panorama of programs for PC that has always accompanied the users in the management of zip archives. Software that has given way to more complete 7zip or other alternatives but that is still appreciated by many PC users.Now the program also comes to Android, and although app has to fight with other similar, surely he can find an excellent catchment area just for the name and fame it has.

Photosynth for Windows Phone is now available in WP Marketplace

Here comes the Windows Phone marketplace Photosynth, the popular Microsoft application that allows you to take and share pictures taken in landscape mode to 360 degrees.

Last year when Microsoft released  Photosynth for iPhone OS , many users wondered when it would arrive this on Windows Phone since David Gedey Photosynth Group Program Manager in charge of development of this software had declared that they were at work on the version for Windows Phone .

Play Store | 100,000 applications in the last 4 months: 500,000 apps quota exceeded!



The Play Store continues to grow quickly and with very impressive numbers. If we consideronly the last 4 months, over 100,000 applications have been published in the virtual Google store . A number that exceeds even Apple with its App Store that same time period saw the release of approximately 63,000 applications. Important numbers to see the passing of the 500,000 apps in the Play Store , and an approach to lifelong rival, Apple.
