Nokia starts rolling out Microsoft Apps for Belle smartphones

Nokia published the video teaser of Pure View, the successor of N8

Nokia has just released a new teaser video on YouTube titled "Get ready to capture a pure view" (Get ready to catch a perfect vision) setting a date for the 27 th of this month or at the Mobile World Congress.

The clip, recorded in FullHD, merely anticipating the arrival of a new camera phone, almost certainly the successor of N8.

Pure View is a registered trademark of Nokia and recently have been rumours of such a device, a Nokia N8 successor, for some months now, but the rumour mill have suggested both a Symbian and Windows Phone version.

The Microsoft apps are finally available to download for smartphones that two days ago received the update to Nokia Belle, or for N8, E7, E6, C6-01, C7 and X7 . For the uninitiated, is a suite of business applications that can exploit the capabilities of:

Nokia Belle officially brings video recording at 30 fps with continuous autofocus

Nokia user who will install the new Nokia Belle platform release on their devices will notice a new, streamlined camera UI, similar to the Beta Labs N8 Camera update.

Moreover, the update brings along 30fps video recording and continuous autofocus in video close-up mode (though only N8 will benefit from it), along with a series of other enhancements.

With Nokia Belle downloads starting this week, more people will have access to the great camera features we offered as a preview in the Camera Update for Nokia N8, namely 30fps video recording and continuous autofocus in video close-up mode (where supported)*.

On top of that, the camera UI in Belle has been further improved compared to the earlier application update.  For example, the placement of the on-screen shutter button was changed for better ergonomics in landscape and portrait orientation, and the main controls were moved to the bottom of the viewfinder for a cleaner look.

Nokia updates the user guides of N8, E7, C7 and C6-01 to Symbian Belle

A sign, perhaps, that the official release is getting closer, Nokia has recently updated the user guides for smartphones N8, E7, C7 and C6-01 basing on Symbian Belle. At the moment seem to stay out of E6, X7 and 500, even if all its native Symbian ^ 3 should receive without any problem upgrading to Nokia Belle.

Belle update coming 8th of February says Nokia Vietnam

Belle is coming to your Nokia N8, E7, C7, X7, E6 and C6-01 in February, that we already knew. Now Nokia’s Vietnamese site is claiming with big letters that the update is arriving 8th of February. Nokia 500 isn’t mentioned for some reason, but Nokia has said the update to come for it as well.

Thinking how these firmware updates work, Vietnam wont certainly be the only country getting the update by that date so that’s the likely date of when the Belle roll out will start. It could be of course that Nokia’s Vietnamese page has gotten ahead of it’s time, like Swedish Nokia page advertising N9 release date too early.
