The sales of Nokia 808 PureView was characterized by an initial delays and small number of countries availability.The smartphone has begun to reach store shelves on a large scale only in the month of June, giving in some cases not so easy to make the purchase for the ordinary customer.
Despite these circumstances, the demand of the Nokia 808 PureView is high so as to suggest the company will increase production. Tapani Kaskinen, communications manager of Nokia, has recently confirmed that the company has underestimated the actual demand for the cameraphone, apparently mistakenly seen by some as a mere exercise in style created by Nokia, waiting for the technology PureView on the Lumia range.
Interestingly Tapani Kaskien confirms that the initial situation of scarcity of stocks was determined solely by the choices carried out by commercial, rather than by the difficulties related to the production cycle (eg, limited components). At the same time Kaskien reported that Nokia is speeding up the production of the devices,because in some markets the demand is particularly high. Emblematic is the case of the two major carriers in Finland, Elisa and DNA, which confirmed the great interest in the smartphone from the customers and the need to increase inventory to meet demand.
The Nokia 808 PureView is certainly a "special" smartphone only when it examines the camera compartment, perhaps not suitable for everyone if you evaluate the software platform. We hope, beyond all, that the recent decision to increase the production manages to further improve the availability of the terminal even in Italian shops and is accompanied by a progressive reduction in the price.
