Windows Phone 7 Marketplace reaches 60,000 apps.Just 25 days after reaching 50,000 apps, the Marketplace has claimed another 10,000 apps, with over a third of the entire store released in the past 90 days.
These figures come from AAWP, which also claims that over 15,000 different publishers have been pushing out apps. There has been a definite acceleration in how quickly the store is growing, as the previous jump from 40K to 50K took around 40 days.
This means without any further increase Marketplace will hit the psychologically important 100,000 mark at the end of April 2012. Likely if the rate of increase continues however it will be significantly earlier, possible in the middle of March 2012.
