Consumers wanting to buy a BlackBerry PlayBook can snag one for as less than Rs 13,490 as a part of Research In Motion’s (RIM’s) limited period offer that is valid till December 31, the company told BGR India. Under this offer, the 16GB PlayBook will be available for Rs 13,490; 32GB for Rs 15,990 and the 64GB variant for Rs 24,490 ($254.38).
This is not the first time RIM is offering a special deal on the PlayBook – it gave away a BlackBerry Curve 8520 free with the PlayBook as a Diwali offer. RIM booked a one-time pre-tax charge of $485 million against poor PlayBook sales and unsold inventory in the third quarter
