HTC confirmed via Facebook that the Desire S,Thunderbolt and other devices will be updated to ICS in August


HTC via Facebook took time to answer question regarding ICS update for some of its flagship devices.HTC in its comments confirmed that in August the Desire S and Thunderbold will receive Android 4.0 updates.

LG Quick Memo featured in a promo video


While Samsung with its Note phablet has revived the system of notes via pen accepting the challenge of HTC Flyer, other manufacturers have begun to develop systems to manage notes and drawings quickly and intuitively. LG has created QuikMemo, a system can be activated on any screen by holding down the volume keys. A layer on the interface that is comfortable, practical and immediate in order to take notes and edit screens to share for leisure or work.

Android Distribution - Ice Cream Sandwich Now On 15.9% of Devices, 4.1 Jelly Bean Debuts At 0.8%

As we can see in the image, last in the bottom of the table with almost one percentage point after his arrival on Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S appears Android 4.1 aka Jelly Bean.This is the first time to become part of the latest data on the Android platform version distribution.
Compared to last month's Ice Cream Sandwich has gained more ground now amounting to almost 16 percentage points,considering that the next data will have the full range of Samsung tablets and the passage of the Razr series with Android 4.0.4 who will bring even higher ICS share.

New HTC device with 1080p display and Adreno 320 GPU confirmed by the benchmark

Galaxy Note 2 coming in October with 5.5 inches display and Exynos 5250 processor?



After many speculations about the Galaxy S3, it's time to talk about the Galaxy Notes 2, the device is not announced but Samsung definitely will release the second generation of its very successful first  gen. Galaxy Note in the coming months as now happens every year for high-end products. Although there is no official information, around the internet rumors are spread about technical requirements, specifications and hardware of the next super smartphones of the Korean producer.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Metalic Blue - New color coming?



Well few hours ago appeared video of a particular Galaxy S3 which would have a new color different from white and Pebble Blue that we are accustomed seeing. 
The chromatic variant is described as Blue Metallic  and would be very similar to nuances and characteristics to the known Pebble Blue, but in fact is darker and tending to graphite and not to blue.

Samsung GT-i9300 photo leaks,is this the new Galaxy S III?

If until now we have seen render images implausible speculations interesting concept and the new, hypothetical, S3 Galaxy , now comes the first live pictures of the successor to the Galaxy S2. Although, as always, is not absolute certainty, we can still say that this is a prototype very interesting and it reflects very closely the features of the new top range Samsung.
The reasons?
  • Integrated buttons on the screen (some)
  • Back button on the right (like all Samsung)
  • To render similar aesthetic seen in the past but with physical key (we had always said that we looked like)
  • Touch Wiz lighter-level menu customization

These are the main reasons they see in this picture a very realistic prototype of the successor to the Galaxy S2. As always the pictures "stolen" does not do justice to aesthetics, and though we will soon see new photos arrive.

Confirmed Ice Cream Sandwich for Nexus S within the next week


According to a reliable source very close to the drafting of Engadget, Google has finally confirmed the release of Android Ice Cream Sandwich for Nexus S after the withdrawal during the month of December and distribution came to cover only some markets. The update should arrive within the next few weeks while you do not know yet what the actual version that Google will release the Nexus S given the strong rumors in recent days on the alleged Android 4.0.5.

PlayStation Store available for Sony Xperia S


Sony has finally enable PlayStation Store support for Sony Xperia S, initially delayed because of the timing too tight to avoid delaying the launch.PlayStation Store is now available for Xperia s including Pocket PS application.Currently within the PlayStation Store you can find about a dozen games, access to the catalog of console games, see videos and trailers, and more after entering your data to network-related or Sony PlayStation Network Account.
Sony plans to expand the list of games in the PlayStation Store in the coming months and to equip all of its devices that come out during the year (including the new Xperia Sun ) with the certification mark and immediate access to the store.

9.7 inch Lenovo IdeaTab unveiled by FCC certification could come as early in March


Thanks to FCC certification, we learn of a new tablet will be coming from Lenovo , and without even knowing the official name, is already talk of specific raw yet to be confirmed. Signed IdeaTab S2109A (not to be confused with the previous S2) this model should be characterized by a 9.7-inch IPS display, 4:3 aspect ratio, four speakers and a Texas Instruments OMAP chip. 

According to the source system will be used Android Ice Cream Sandwich and debuting in stores could be as early in the month of March, supported by news that the test carried out by the FCC would have been performed on a unit ready for production and not a version prototype, a sign that its marketing could be very close, although it is unclear what will be the destination countries.

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich available for HTC Sensation



HTC makes available through the official channels OTA Android 4.0 update to ICS for HTC Sensation / Sensation XE. The first to receive the update the users were Germans and some Nordic countries.
HTC keeps promises, and yesterday released beginning with Germany and some Nordic countries the official update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Sensation HTC and HTC Sensation XE. 

The update includes version 3.6 of the interface HTC Sense , and Sense 4.0 with functions not reduced as assumed by outside sources.
The update will be made available in the coming days for all HTC Sensation devices. For branded ones may need to wait a few more days. The update will be seen only by those who have not installed a custom ROM, and do not have root access on their device.
For those who already have their rootato Sensation, and want to keep these permits, I recommend to visit daily the Development section of the forum dedicated to the smartphone HTC XDA: a day will definitely be released Custom ROM based on the latest official release. 

After the release of official version, the whole community of developers is awaiting the release of HTC's new kernel source present on the Android 4.0 firmware, the need to build, develop and optimize new Custom ROM, particularly of the AOSP as CyanogenMod 9.
