The procedure to upgrade to Nokia Belle Symbian ^ 3 Refresh for the devices of the first generation is continuing as previously announced. After the update for first devices (Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia X7 and Nokia Oro) and the Nokia 500 was added in the list of devices that are due to receive the update and now the the Nokia E6 is added to the list.
The update introduces, among other things, the new browser, a renewed version of the music player and an improvement in performance and stability.
The release number of the update for Nokia E6-00 is 111.140.0058. The changelog includes a list of new products already available for other models:
- Web services on the home screen with the possibility to use them in offline mode with the new HTML5 browsers
- Ability to customize your phone with new widgets for various applications and services
- Better support for Flash video (. Flv)
- Improved social networking features
- New version of Nokia Maps (3.09)
- Microsoft Apps
- Music Player renewed
- Improvements to performance and stability
The update can be completed either over the air or via Nokia PC Suite. The actual availability of the update may vary depending on geographical areas and possible branding of telephone operators.
